The representative boots will
be pulled on early this year with the NSW Tertiary side having its first run
for the season this Saturday at Cabramatta Sports Ground when they take place in
the 2008 NSWRL International 9’s tournament.
A late entrant into the tournament,
with NSW Tertiary side will join nine other domestic teams and six
international sides in the tournament.
From the newly formed VB NSW
Cup, Balmain Ryde Eastwood, Newtown Jets, Windsor Wolves and Wests Magpies will
join the Cabramatta Two Blues, Campbelltown Eagles, Mounties and the Shellharbour Marlin from the
Jim Beam Cup in the tournament.
From across the ocean, Japan, Cook Islands, American
Samoa, Portugal,
Fiji
and a Pacific Islands Representative side will join the Australian Indigenous
to make up the numbers.
NSW Tertiary will kick off its fixtures at 12:10pm against Balmain, before
taking Cabramatta and Campbelltown in the group stages.
