The signs continue to look positive for the NSW Tertiary
Student Rugby League as its 40th season looks to be one of the
largest the league has run since the early 90’s with the confirmation of Edmund College
to participate for the 2009 season.
The Edmund College side, also known as Lewisham Old Boys will
play in royal blue and white butcher stripes and will be based out of Sydney’s inner-west region.
The club has confirmed that it will at least participate in
the Tertiary Championship First Division competition, with the potential for
the club to also run a side in the league’s Second Division depending on
numbers.
With the inclusion of Edmund College,
the 2009 Tertiary League season will feature 12 clubs across two divisions.
