Round Five Results

Round Five of the 2008 NSW Tertiary Student Rugby League saw
a number of surprise results across both divisions. 

In Second Division, Newcastle University sent out a clear message to the rest
of the competition with a convincing 38 to 6 victory over the Macarthur
Magpies, whilst down at St Johns Oval, Sydney University knocked up their first
victory of the season against the Cumberland Beavers.

The Norwest Polecats held top of the ladder team, the UTS Jets to an 18-all
draw at Kellyville Oval.

Meanwhile in First Division, West Sydney pulled off an
amazing 46 – 38 victory over Bathurst
up in the mountains.

West Sydney Blues 46 defeated CSU Bathurst 38

Sydney University 22 drew with Cumberland Beavers 22

SECOND DIVISION:

Norwest Polecats 18 drew with UTS Jets 18

CSU Bathurst 24 defeated RailCorp Apprentices 0

Sydney University 18 defeated Cumberland Beavers 14

Newcastle University 38 defeated Macarthur Magpies 6
