Round 2 Saturday 9 April 2016 Preview

Round 2 of the 2016 Competitions sees all winning 1st Division teams play losing sides from last round, so it will be interesting to see if ACU, TWS Polecats and Sydney Uni, all dominate in their respective games last week, can continue their winning ways.

ACU travel to Ollie Webb to clash with Cumberland Beavers in both divisions, with the Beavers hoping a home ground advantage can secure them its first win in Division 1 and continue the strong showing their reigning  2nd Division Premiers displayed against Syd Uni last round.

The UTS Tigers host Sydney Uni Lions for its first home games of the season and they too will be hoping Blackmore Oval will bring them better fortune than came their way the previous round out at Kellyville Park. However, the Lions started its season in fine style with a big win over the Beavers in 1st Division and a close loss in 2nds, so it could be another hard day at the office for the Tigers.

Notwithstanding its big wins over the Tigers last round, the TWS Polecats teams could find the going a little harder this week, needing to split its resources between Bankstown and Canberra. Its 1st Division side, the reigning premiers, clash with the Western Syd U Ducks, at the Ducks home pond, whilst the 2nds travel to the Capital to face Uni Canberra Grizzlies, the biggest 2nd Division winners last round.
