With sunshine most of the week, in Sydney at least for a change and a promise of fine weather for Saturday, finally a full round of footy is now ready to be played.
Some very interesting matches are on the cards, with all but two games being held in the Sydney Metro area. CSU Bathurst make the road trip to St Johns with a full squad, including Captain/Coach Phil Thurgood back from injury and the Mungoes are quietly confident they can overcome the might of Sydney Uni in both grades.
Not too far down the road at Marrickville Oval Lewisham Old Boys/ACU will clash with the UTS Tigers, both teams keen to improve thier place on the comp ladder.
Further out west the Norwest/Nirimba Polecats host West Sydney Blues in a 1st Division top of the table clash at Kellyville Oval. The Polecats have possession of the Macca Challenge Shield (and have held it for a while because of all the washouts!) and no doubt the Blues will be eager to take it home with them. In 2nd Division the Newcastle Uni Sea Horses travel down for its tussle with the Polecats.
Cumberland College Beavers 2nd Division team will make a trip to Canberra for its clash with the Canberra Uni Cows. The remaining 2nd Division match is also in the Capital, with the ANU Grizzlies hosting the RailCorp Apprentices. The Sydney boys had better make sure they take plenty of warm clothes!
UTS Tigers 2nd Division team has a bye.
