Season 2021 – Final Result

This weekend was scheduled to be the Grand Final in the inaugural season of the Saturday Metro League Competition (Formally Tertiary League), but due to the current stay at home measures enforced to slow the spread of Covid-19 until vaccination targets are meet in NSW, our competition along with all our other community sports has been shutdown since 26/6/2021.

While our season should have been reaching a climax with the 2 best sides competing for the title, unfortunately that was not to be and last month the Metro League committee chaired by Mat Olsen decided not to award a premier for season 2021 as we had only completed 7 of our 14 rounds.

We thank every side for competing in 2021 and hope to see them and more sides back in 2022!

We also hope all our players, official, families and fans stay safe during these coming months, the Metro League look forward to season 2022 and hopefully a life not living with lockdowns.

Over the off season keep checking www.metroleaguerl.com.au and our socials for updates of the Saturday Metro League.
