The Saturday Metro League is moving full steam ahead and after its action packed first round triple header at Berowra last weekend the league has now launch a new website, with better support for mobile devices, giving a fresh new look for the new competition, while maintaining the history of the Tertiary League.

While this is the inaugural season of the Saturday Metro League, the Tertiary League has 50 year’s of action and rivalries that will continue into the new competition.

“Tomorrow marks the next key milestone for our competition.

Whilst the tertiary competition has served us well for more than 50 years, we needed another way forward to ensure the competition remained vibrant, growing and relevant.

Tomorrow we welcome Asquith Magpies, Berowra Wallabies and Carlingford Cougars to the competition, joining Macquarie University, TAFE Polecats, UTS Wanderers and Sydney Uni.

Whilst we won’t forget where we come from, we look forward to an exciting future as the Saturday Metro League.” Saturday Metro League President Graeme Fowler.

Macquarie Uni taking on Carlingford Cougars kicks off the action at 12:30, followed by last years Tertiary Grand Final rematch with defending champions the UTS Wanderers and TAFE NSW Polecats, then we head into the headline match of Berowra Wallabies up against Sydney Uni.

It’s going to be the biggest season “EVER” in the Metro League’s history, so for some Covid Safe Metro League action, head down to Warrina Street Oval and enjoy the day!
