Round 9 Preview Saturday 4 June 2016

Coming into the second half of the season the competition tables in both divisions are starting to take shape, with the Tafe WS Polecats in firsts and the Uni Canberra Grizzlies in seconds way out in front, both undefeated after 8 rounds. That position will not change this round for the Grizzlies because unfortunately their opposition, the Cumberland College Beavers do not have the personnel to make the trip to the capital and have forfeited the match.

However, the Polecats will be in action, in both divisions, up against the Sydney Uni Lions in the wide open spaces of Henson Park. The Lions will be smarting after losses in both divisions to ACU last week so look for a much improved performance this week.

ACU host the UTS Tigers in both divisions at Marrickville Park, with the 1st Division clash shaping as the match of the round, the home side taking a solid last round win over the Lions and the Tigers big winners over West Syd U Ducks. The 2nds too looks a close affair, both neck and neck on the ladder.

The Ducks are home to the Beavers in their 1st Division match at Bankstown Campus and with the Ducks still eager to notch its first win and the Beavers desperate to keep its finals credentials intact, there is plenty at stake for both teams.
